Moore ’89 Named Principal of Vanguard Group

John Moore, a member of the Hobart Class of 1989, has been named principal of the Vanguard Group. Moore is a senior analyst in the taxable bond area of the Credit Research Group, which includes the utilities and energy sectors, among other related industries. He joined Vanguard in 2003 as an investment analyst. The complete press release from Vanguard is below.

Valley Forge, Pa., February 10, 2005 -John (Jack) P. Moore has been named principal of The Vanguard Group.

Moore joined Vanguard in 2003 as an investment analyst. Prior to coming to Vanguard, he served as a portfolio manager at Bryn Mawr Capital Management in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Currently a senior analyst in the taxable bond area of the Credit Research Group, Moore's areas of responsibility include the utilities and energy sectors, among other related industries.

Moore earned his B.A. degree in economics in 1989 from Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y. and his Master of Science degree in 1991 from the London School of Economics in London, England.

Moore serves as a youth lacrosse coach in Radnor, Pa., and as a board member for a local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He now resides in Villanova, Pa.
