Alums Lead Talk on Careers in Science

On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the Professionals in Residence Series welcomed three alums back to campus to talk about careers in the field of science. Panelists include Sarah Heieck ‘97, Mike Roussell ‘04, and Rebecca Crist ‘96. The talk was held at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanford Room.

Heieck earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics. She started her professional career in telecommunications and management before spending the past 12 years in pharmaceutical sales. She is currently a professional health care representative at Pfizer.

Roussell graduated with a B.S. in biochemistry, with honors. He holds a doctorate in nutrition from Pennsylvania State University. He is the founder of Naked Nutrition, LLC, a nutrition company that provides consumer and professionals with health news on a multimedia platform.

Crist is an environmental analyst with the Department of Environmental Conservation. She earned her B.A. in biology and Asian Studies from William Smith. She went on to earn her M.S. from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
