Jones’ Exhibition Featured on Vietnamese National TV

The exhibition titled “Special Light – Photographs from Vietnam and Around the World” by Mark Jones, currently on view at Mais Gallery in Ho Chi Minh City, was featured in a video piece broadcast on VTV3 Vietnamese National Television. The segment was aired on Feb. 26 and again on March 2. The exhibition also received favorable notices in all three Vietnamese national daily newspapers: Thanh Nien, Saigon Giai Phong and Tuoi Tre.

A review is slated to appear in the international section of an upcoming issue of New York Art Magazine. The exhibit runs through March 10.

Jones, an associate professor of art, directed the fall semester HWS/Union Vietnam 2004 program in Hanoi. A 1972 graduate of Hobart College, Jones later earned the M.F.A. from Brooklyn College. He has served a term as assistant dean for program development, been a leader in the Colleges' Environmental Studies Summer Youth Institute, and led the HWS off-campus program in Los Angeles. He gave the Hobart Charter Day address in 2002.
