Faux and Spector Co-Author Papers

Michael Faux and Donald Spector, professors in the physics department, have two articles appearing in leading journals stemming from their ongoing collaboration. Their article “A BPS Interpretation of Shape Invariance” was selected for the “Journal of Physics A” special issue on “Progress in Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics.” Meanwhile, their article “Duality and Central Charges in Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics” will be appearing in “Physical Review D.” The former paper reveals the hidden mathematical structure within an important class of physical systems, while the latter uses non-relativistic quantum mechanics to shed light on some key properties of string theory.
