The Visit’s The Thing

For many, the campus visit is a make-or-break part of the decision to attend college. The Finger Lakes Times explored the impact of campus visits in the March 27 article “Take a look around: College visits can give students a feel for the campus”.

“A tour is meant to provide a real sense of the campus,” said Haverly Erskine, senior assistant director of admissions. She encourages the student tour guides to intertwine facts with personal anecdotes to provide a real feel for the campus.

Student-guided campus tours at the Colleges are available on the hour from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. weekdays, year-round. On most Saturdays during the academic year, tours are available on the hour from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. In the summer (July 9- Aug. 20), Saturday tours are offered at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
