Norfleet, Nannig named All-Americans

Hobart and William Smith Colleges senior sailors John Norfleet and Bridget Nanning earned All-America honors from the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) following the 2013 spring championships. Norfleet is an All-American skipper and Nannig is an All-American crew.
A first team All-Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA) skipper, Norfleet sailed with Nannig in A Division at the 2013 ICSA Coed Dinghy National Championship and also represented HWS in the ICSA Team Race National Championship. Hobart and William Smith finished 16th in the coed dinghy championship and placed ninth in the team race championship. Norfleet and Nannig also sailed in A Division to help the Colleges finish third in the ICSA Coed Dinghy Western Semifinal.
Norfleet teamed with Nannig in the Truxtum Umsted A Division to take second place, after a head-to-head tiebreaker with Georgetown. Norfleet again paired with Nannig for a second place finish in the A Division at the America Trophy, the MAISA Coed Dinghy Championship. The pair edged Old Dominion by one point, helping the team take fourth overall and earn a spot in the Coed Dinghy National Semifinals.
Nannig also earned All-MAISA recognition, as a crew. Both Norfleet and Nannig sailing for HWS during the Prosser Trophy, the MAISA Team Race Championship. The Colleges finished fourth in that regatta, qualifying for the ICSA Team Race National Championship. 
During her four seasons at the Colleges, Nannig competed in seven ICSA national championship regattas. Norfleet, a transfer from Vermont, competed in four ICSA national championships.
Since 1996, Hobart and William Smith sailors have earned All-America recognition 51 times.
