The selection committee for the Technos International Week program hosted by the Tanaka Family and Technos International College in Tokyo Japan has named one HWS faculty member and two HWS students to be its representatives for the 2005 tour.
Professor Stanley Mathews of the art department will accompany Hobart student Mantvydas Barkaukas and William Smith student Katharine Goodrich on a two-week cultural exchange program based in Tokyo. Participants will join representatives from select colleges in the U.S., New Zealand, and Britain where they will share lectures, meals and homestays with Japanese hosts, and visit historic and cultural sites designed to acquaint them with Japan and its rich, complex society. The tour departs from the U.S. on June 4, 2005.
