Art dealer featured in New York Times

Peter Schweller, a 1990 graduate of Hobart College, and the 17th-, 18th- and 19th-century paintings among which he lives, was profiled in a story in the June 12 New York Times.

Schweller, who lives in a Gramercy Park studio apartment, has lately been working to return the portraits to their European families, and said he was initially inspired his father's collection of portrait miniatures.

“What is nice is that in the last 10, 15, 20 years, there's been a quite a lot of buying back of art by the families who were selling earlier on,” an official at Sotheby's in London is quoted as saying in the story.
