GENEVA — Kelly Anne McLaughlin has been named operations and technical support leader in the office of Information Technology Services at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
The IT Services department recently restructured itself using workgroups to better fit its client-service role. Her job is to manage and oversee the new operations and technical support group within the department; she began work at the Colleges on June 13.
“Kelly’s background in industry and higher education will enable her to act as an effective liaison between our department and the many constituents we serve on campus,” says Fred Damiano, chief information officer at HWS.
McLaughlin has a strong track record of service delivery. She most recently worked at Eastman Kodak Co., managing information technology support for the development and executive communities there. She also previously worked at the University of Rochester, working with faculty to integrate technology into the classroom and managing the budgeting and planning of IT purchases.
She lives in Chili with her husband, Matthew, and their two children, ages 6 and 3.
