Irene Zutell '87, a former writer for People, US Weekly and the New York Times, is the author of a new novel, “They're Not Your Friends,” recently published by Three Rivers Press.
It tells the tale of Charlotte “Lottie” Love, who finally lands a job at Personality magazine, only to learn that her magazine prints lies and Hollywood's latest “It” boy, whom she thought was falling for her, isn't who he pretends to be.
The heroine's realizes her dream job is turning into a nightmare when the boss pits staff members against each other with an impossible assignment.
Zutell's second book offers readers a glimpse into “the bizarre and frightening world of entertainment journalism and star worship.”
She is also the author of “I'll Never Have Sex with You Again,” was published in 2002. She also co-created and co-produced “Wickedly Perfect,” for CBS-TV.
