Michael Fudzinski '96 completed the Ironman Austria on July 3, finishing with 1,795 others of the 2,171 athletes entered. Fudzinski was one of 161 U.S. competitors and logged a time of 13:41. The courses were in and around Klagenfurt; swimming was in Lake Worthersee.
He is a former assistant director of alumni and alumnae relations at HWS.
He is a two-time Ironman USA finisher: swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 and running another 26.2 miles in Lake Placid.
As a youth, he snowboarded in the Adirondacks and was a member of the Airwalk National Snowboarding B Team, featured in magazines and ads. He was an events coordinator for the Olympic Regional Development Authority before taking the HWS position.
