Daniel Reingold, a 1975 graduate of Hobart, was featured in an article in the New York Daily News on June 12. Reingold is the president and CEO of the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale, N.Y. The article was about the establishment of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse Prevention at the Home.
According to the Daily News, it is the first shelter in New York State dedicated to elderly victims of mental, physical, financial or sexual abuse, and one of only a few such shelters across the country.
There is not another elder abuse shelter. I was shocked,” Reingold, is quoted as saying. “We knew we needed one in New York.”
