Cory Connor ’98 was recently included among “The 15 Best Interior Designers in Jersey City,” according to the BuildDirect blog, “Life at Home.” The article noted Jersey City is “a cultural destination that supports a vibrant arts scene,” adding “it is no surprise the area also boasts of incredible interior design talent.”
In putting together the list of “the 15 most talented and reputable designers in the area,” the writer said they “offer the right combination of quality, creativity, and expertise to stand out in their field.”
Connor earned her B.A in American Studies from William Smith and was a member of the lacrosse team while a student. She also participated in winter programs to California and New York City with the Colleges. She established her business, Cory Connor Designs, in 2007 and custom-designs interiors.
According to her profile on the list, “Her philosophy involves mixing vintage with contemporary for beautifully timeless, yet unique spaces. Cory works hand-in-hand with each client to ensure that the final ‘masterpiece’ is an honest, chic, and comfortable reflection of their lifestyle.”
This year, a room she redecorated in a house in New Jersey was featured on Houzz.com as the room of the day.

She assisted high-end design firms with custom textiles at Claremont Fabrics and Furnishings, and worked as a design associate for Shostak & Company. Joan founded J. Patryce Design in 2005, a design firm that embodies her vision of elegant, inviting environments and high standards. As a mother of three, Joan is mindful to balance child-friendly yet stylish spaces.
Joshua combines his background in fashion and architecture to create unique interiors. He established Joshua David Home in 2007, a company dedicated to practicing strong design principles. Recent projects include Japanese Modern and Young Professional environments. As an avid blogger, Joshua muses on modern living.
How We Live Magazine described Oskar’s sophisticated but unpretentious style as “Renaissance Modernism.” While earning his BA at the New York School of Interior Design, he trained with notable design firms like Stephen Sills Associates and Huniford Design Studio. In addition to homes and commercial spaces, Oskar has designed accessories and furniture using vintage textiles for renowned designers such as Michael Smith, Jeffrey Bilhuber, and Bunny Williams. Elizabeth received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and studied abroad in Spain and Costa Rica. She worked in marketing and sales before founding Personal Space Interior Design in 2005. Elizabeth’s approach empowers her clients to make design-savvy choices and to take pride in their property or home.
Kristen earned her Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers, and her varied background includes everything from morgue assistant to public relations executive. After moving to the downtown area after college, she fell in love with the nineteenth-century brownstones of Jersey City. She also founded the lifestyle store, Kanibal Home, in 2006. A brick-and-mortar location since 2009, the shop not only offers refurbished vintage furniture and new home decor, but also monthly craft classes taught by local artists.
Kingsley has over 20 years experience providing residential and commercial interior design solutions. She holds degrees from the University of Vermont and the Boston Architectural Center, and is a professional member of ASID. Kingsley gained experience at Drysdale Design Associates in Washington, D.C., where her projects were highlighted in House Beautiful, Traditional Home and Veranda magazines. Her work has also been showcased at the Mansions in May Showhouse in New Jersey.
Karla graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Kean University. Since founding her firm, Interior Decisions Inc., in 1982, Karla has earned a reputation for her design intuition and attention to detail. Notable residential projects completed by Karla include interiors in the Trump Parc Apartments on Central Park South and the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City. She has been honored by the New Jersey chapter of ASID and featured in Women’s Day, Design New Jersey, and New Jersey Home and Style.
Satomi earned her bachelors degree studying interior design from Iowa State University before beginning her career as a junior designer in the Greater Seattle area. In 1994, she established the freelance international design studio YZDA | Yoshida + Zanon Design Atrium. She has completed projects as far away as Japan and Australia, and locally throughout the United States. Known for her culturally eclectic design style, Satomi also contributes her talents to a collection of home and office accessories sold to MOMA and contemporary interior shops.
Jennifer developed a love for fashion and art at an early age, so it was a natural choice for her to attend the New York School of Interior Design. After earning her BFA, she started out as a freelance designer for designers and architects throughout the Tri-State area. She founded Jennifer Pacca Interiors over 23 years ago, and continues to personally oversee every job herself. The personable designer practices the philosophy that each satisfied customer is a stepping stone to future business.
The LEED accredited designer earned a BA in interior design from Yeshiva University, and also completed an interior design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her European background shines through in all her work. As the owner of Lea Frank Design, she has completed residential and retail projects locally and abroad. Lea specializes in New York City apartments, and believes in turning good ideas into unique and inviting spaces.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in interior design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, she worked for several studios before founding Amelia’s Decorating and Design. She specializes in interior design exclusively for children, creating timeless designs that grow as the child grows. Her inspiration to create one of kind nurseries, children’s rooms and play rooms comes from her role as a mother to daughter Amelia.
Linda considers her collaboration with clients a partnership, as she values the lasting relationships she has built with them over the past 25 years. Her guiding principal is to create a look that her clients will love to live with. As the owner of Linda Principe Interiors, she specializes in custom window treatments and color consultations. Linda has been featured in Design New Jersey and Window Fashions magazines, and was recently an industry speaker at the International Window Coverings Expo in Atlanta.
