McGowan Speaks at Islamic Center

Daniel McGowan, professor of economics, presented a guest lecture at The Islamic Center in Rochester on Saturday, March 23. He described the Deir Yassin commemorations that are scheduled to take place in over two dozen cities around the world on April 7 in memory of the Palestinians massacred at Deir Yassin 54 years ago by Jewish terrorists. He voiced criticism of those who condescendingly demand that “Muslims must deal with corruption of their faith” while ignoring the corruption of political Judaism and Christianity. He was particularly critical of Rich Lowry (editor of the National Review) who recently suggested that “nuking Mecca” would “send a signal” to Muslims and of Alan Dershowitz (a Harvard Law professor) who advocated in the Jerusalem Post that collective punishment and home demolitions be employed against the Palestinians.
