Vaughn chosen president-elect of art library group

Kathryn Vaughn, Visual Resources Librarian, was recently elected Vice President/President Elect of the Art Libraries Society of Western New York.

Founded in 1972, the group is the only professional organization in North America devoted exclusively to the concerns of art information specialists. Its members include art and architecture librarians, archivists, art historians, art librarianship educators, slide and photograph curators, institutions such as colleges, museums, and historical societies, and businesses such as art book publishers and dealers.

The Western New York chapter provides an opportunity for members from all over the upstate New York region–from Albany to Buffalo–to meet other local art information professionals, share ideas about their work, and participate in activities that further the work of the parent organization.
