All faculty and staff are invited to participate in one of two open forums with the Colleges’ design and planning firm, Ayers Saint Gross (ASG), to discuss the next iteration of the HWS Master Plan.
ASG will lead the sessions on Wednesday, Feb. 25, with the first taking place from 11 to noon in the Sanford Room of the Warren Hunting Smith Library and the second from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Vandervort Room of the Scandling Campus Center. Those interested in learning more about the Master Plan and in sharing input are encouraged to attend.
HWS first engaged ASG in 2001 to formulate a Master Plan which, along with strategic plans HWS 2005, HWS 2010 and HWS 2015, has guided much of the transformation of campus since, including new construction or the significant renovation of 28 buildings on campus, the opening of the lakefront to campus, and the move downtown, among other initiatives. As part of these efforts, in 2014, construction commenced on a new 65,000-square-foot Performing Arts Center that will become the heart of dance, theatre, music and film endeavors on campus. Construction is scheduled to be completed in January 2016.
With a history dating back to 1912, ASG employs 130 professionals in three offices and is performing work in 70 cities and 21 countries.
