William Smith College senior forward Chloe Hayter earned Liberty League recognition as announced by the conference office today. Hayter was voted to the second team by the conference coaches. This marks the third straight year she has received All-Liberty League recognition.
Hayter posted 12 double-doubles this season and finished the year averaging 13.5 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game to lead the Herons. A starter in every game, she finished the season ranked fourth in the conference in rebounds per game and ninth in points per game. Hayter produced a career-high 26 points in the season finale against Union. She collected a season-high 14 rebounds against Nazareth on Dec. 6. On Dec. 2, she scored her 1,000th career point against Brockport.
Hayter played in 102 career games for the Herons and recorded 27 double-doubles. She finished her career with 1,280 pints, seventh in William Smith history. With 245 rebounds this season, Hayter brought her four-year total to 797, fifth in Heron history. She also ranked fourth in career free-throw percentage, (.768). Hayter made 315 free throws in her career, fourth most in school history. The past two seasons Hayter garnered all-league first team honors.
William Smith finished the season with a 4-20 overall record.
