Albright interviewed in Newsweek

Madeleine K. Albright, the first woman U.S. Secretary of State, and a recipient of the Elizabeth Blackwell Award in September 2001, recently spoke about the war in Iraq and other topics with Karen Fragala Smith.

Albright co-chaired a team of experts for the Council on Foreign Relations that recently released its report, “In Support of Arab Democracy: Why and How.”

Among Albright's conclusions are that “Imposing democracy is an oxymoron. You have to be there in order to assist the process, but not at the point of a gun.”
