Celebrating a year of artistic accomplishments this May, “Student Art and Architecture: Studio Work from 2014-2015” will showcase works spanning a breadth of visual invention in color and in black and white, in silkscreens and photographs, in charcoal and paint, and in sculpture and digital media.
The annual exhibition will feature pieces by students in studio courses ranging from beginning to the advanced. The opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 1. The show, which runs through Monday, May 18, will take place in Houghton House, Goldstein Family Carriage House and the Katherine D. Elliott ’66 Studio Arts Building.
The exhibit is curated by the studio art faculty of the HWS Art and Architecture Department. Exhibit curators are: Professor of Art and Architecture Michael Bogin, Professor of Art and Architecture A.E. Ted Aub, Professor of Art and Architecture Phillia Yi, Professor of Art and Architecture Nicholas Ruth, Assistant Professor of Art and Architecture Christine Chin, Assistant Professor of Art and Architecture Gabriella D’Angelo, Visiting Assistant Professors of Art and Architecture Alysia Kaplan and Naghmeh Farzaneh.
