“End of the Rainbow,” featuring Assistant Professor of Theatre Chris Hatch, opens this month at the Kavinoky Theatre, a professional theatre on the campus of D’Youville College in Buffalo, N.Y.
Written by Peter Quilter and directed by Lisa Ludwig, “End of the Rainbow” is set in London in 1968, as Judy Garland prepares for a five-week run at a nightclub, accompanied by her younger fiancé/manager Mickey Deans, played by Hatch.
The show, which stars Natasha Drena as Garland along with Hatch, Greg Gjurich and David Lundy, is now open and will run through Sunday, Jan. 31. More information is available at the Kavinoky Theatre.
Hatch joined the HWS faculty in 2010. A member of Actors’ Equity Association, he has extensive stage experience, acting in professional productions with companies such as the Utah Shakespearean Festival, the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Kansas City Lyric Opera and more. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his M.F.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
