This semester, the ever-popular Pasta Night at the Colleges will resume on Wednesday, Feb. 3, offering students the chance to enjoy a warm vegetarian pasta dinner, salad, fresh garlic bread and dessert.
Hosted by HWS Chaplain Maurice Charles, the gathering will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Chaplain’s Residence, located at 630 S. Main St. All students are welcome to attend. Reservations aren’t necessary, but students are encouraged to email Charles in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org. Gluten free pasta is available upon request.
“Now that the winter chill has arrived, come gather with your friends in the comfort of a cozy home,” says Charles, who leads the Colleges’ Office for Spiritual Engagement. “We begin with a brief, non-sectarian ritual of thanks and end with lots of laughter and spontaneous song. You don’t have to be religious.”
For the first gathering of the spring semester, Charles says he anticipates welcoming more than 25 students.
Charles, who joined the Colleges in 2015, is continuing the Pasta Night tradition which for many years was facilitated by retired Rev. Lesley Adams D.D. ’15.
