The HWS Relay for Life committee will host the “Frat Feud” fundraiser beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 in Albright Auditorium.
In advance of this spring’s Relay for Life event, “Frat Feud” will jump-start the fundraising efforts with a Jeopardy!-like competition between teams comprised of Hobart fraternity members from Sigma Chi, Theta Delta Chi, Delta Chi, Kappa Alpha, Kappa Sigma and Phi Sigma Kappa.
Admission is $5 with all proceeds to fund the Hobart and William Smith team’s contribution to Relay for Life, the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society.
Scheduled from 6 p.m. on Friday, April 15, to 12 a.m. the following morning, the Relay for Life event honors cancer survivors, commemorates those who have been diagnosed and those who have succumbed to it, and celebrates the volunteers who have dedicated countless hours to aiding friends and family with cancer.
The HWS Relay for Life committee’s 2016 goal is $30,000, with nearly $5,000 already raised.
Interested students, faculty, staff and community members can learn more about the event and create teams through the HWS Relay for Life website.
