Isabel Terres ’16 recently accepted a position in a sales training program with Yelp, a leading online guide for crowd-sourced reviews on local restaurants and businesses.
“I’m really excited to be working for Yelp in New York City. I think it will be an awesome opportunity,” Terres says. “I have always used Yelp to look up restaurants and other businesses and found it particularly helpful while studying abroad in Scotland.”
Terres will officially begin her work with Yelp in July. One of her main responsibilities will be making connections with local businesses to sell Yelp services. After she completes the training, she would like to become an associate account executive.
A writing and rhetoric major with a media and society minor, Terres is currently working on her senior portfolio for her major, which consists of a 30-50 page paper. On campus, she’s also a Writing Colleague for a first-year writing and rhetoric course and she works in the Office of Advancement’s Call Center for the Annual Fund.
