Casey Lintern Rogers ’98 recently sent us a report of how William Smith alumnae find each other in amazing places.
Ruah Basker '01 and she connected a few months ago, thanks to Jen Leshnower '00. Basker is now living, studying and interning in Colombo, Sri Lanka, pursuing her master's degree in Sustainable Development with the School for International Training, and interning for a Sri Lankan non-profit called Sarvodaya.
Rogers recently traveled to Sri Lanka for work and they met and spent a great Sunday together. “Our WS connection helped us to become fast friends,” she wrote.
The attached photo was taken of them at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, south of Colombo, with Basker on the left and Rogers on the right.
