Spector Awarded NSF Grant

Donald Spector, the Phillip J. Moorad '28 and Margaret N. Moorad Professor of Science and member of the HWS Physics Department, was recently awarded a three-year research grant by the National Science Foundation.

The grant, titled “Applications of Supersymmetry to Quantum Mechanics,” will allow him to provide new insights into the behavior of the fundamental constituents of matter.

This is Spector's fourth individual research grant from the NSF's Theoretical Physics division, and his seventh award overall through an NSF program.

Spector holds a bachelor's, a master's and his doctorate from Harvard University; he joined the faculty in 1989.
