The HWS IdeaLab is accepting applications for the six-week incubator program to help accelerate student ideas.
Launched in 2015 by the Centennial Center for Leadership (CCL), the IdeaLab offers eight to 10 student-entrepreneurs guidance each spring as they develop products, services or organizations. Participants workshop their ideas with peers and have access to the Colleges’ vast network of alums to seek professional expertise in refining their ideas. During the program, participants create a viable plan for their new ventures to be implemented in the real world.
At the end of the six weeks, the IdeaLab student committee reviews final business proposals and disburses a pool of $3,000 to applicants to improve their ideas.
The IdeaLab also provides $1,000 in additional seed funding to any student with an HWS IdeaLab proposal that makes it to the second round of The Stu Lieblein ’90 Pitch Contest.
All HWS students are eligible to apply. Applications, which can be found here, should be submitted by Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 at 12 p.m.
