Peter Cummings, HWS professor of English and comparative literature, will present an unusual essay at the 2006 Shakespeare Association of America meeting this April during the “Shakespeare's Geezers: Elderly Men, and Women, in the Works” seminar. The project, titled “Shakespeare's Geezers: Sonnets on the Paradox of Age in Shakespeare,” is a set of fourteen sonnets on the textoral lives of half a dozen old men in selected plays and is dedicated to Edward M. Cummings.
