President’s Forum Speaker on ‘Today’

Janet Murguía, who spoke on “Latinos and the American Future” during a campus visit March 1 as part of the President's Forum Series, talked about immigration and border issues on the March 28 NBC-TV's “Today” show.

She and Lou Dobbs of CNN's “Lou Dobbs Tonight” discussed controlling immigration and controlling boarders, guest worker programs, the estimated 11 million illegal workers now in the United States, and the McCain-Kennedy Bill.

Murguía is president and CEO of the National Council of La Raza, the largest civil rights and advocacy organization in the nation.
