Davenport serves as guest editor for dance journal

Donna Davenport, HWS professor of dance, served as guest editor for the March 2006 issue of the Journal of Dance Education, titled “Effective Pedagogy for Dance Composition: New Insights and Perspectives,” published by J. Michael Ryan Publishing.

In the same issue, she also published an article that introduces a new pedagogical approach for teaching choreographic craft.

She holds bachelor's degrees in psychology and in education from the University of Massachusetts, and her master's and doctorate in dance education, both from Temple University, and joined the faculty in 1990.
