The HWS Student Life and Leadership Office has named Victor Pultinas '09 of Roxbury, Mass., as Leader of the Month for April.
Pultinas was praised as a dedicated student worker in the Public Service Office and has impressed his peers and the professional staff with his ability to anticipate questions and offer effective responses to those with questions. He is also a dedicated tutor through the America Reads program.
He has recently been involved in a grassroots national campaign challenging every American to help all children learn to read.
Pultinas is also the co-founder of a new initiative named “Lunch Bunch,” in which HWS students visit first-grade children from local elementary school during lunch, providing much-needed one-on-one attention from caring adults.
In this program, he has worked with the professional staff at the elementary school, recruited friends to join the “Lunch Bunch,” and solved transportation issues.
