Two members of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges community were elected to area school boards in voting on Tuesday, May 16.
Susan Campbell, assistant to the vice president in the office of finance, was elected to a seat on the Marcus Whitman board of education. She received 519 votes and was one of five candidates — including two incumbents — seeking three seats. She was the only challenger chosen.
Mitch Wilber, whose wife is Herons soccer coach Aliceann Wilber, was unopposed in his bid for a five-year term on the Geneva City School District board. He is the current vice president of the board and received 487 votes.
Budgets in both districts were approved. Whitman voters also approved propositions to buy school buses and fund the library.
