Jared Desrochers '07 spoke at the recent 13th Annual Conference on the Adirondacks in Lake Placid, N.Y.
Desrochers, of Ballston Lake, N.Y., discussed his work led by Neil Laird, HWS assistant professor of geoscience, which provides a multi-year examination of lake-effect snow events over Lake Champlain.
The conference, on May 24-25, included research papers and topic sessions exploring the natural, economic, cultural, historic and philosophical features of the Adriondacks, Lake Champlain and the North Country.
Desrochers was a Rev. John Visger VanIngen Scholar during the 2005-06 year.
