Ruiz presents at ACUTA conference

Mike Ruiz, a network and systems engineer with the HWS Information Technology Services team, presented and moderated a session on “Meeting the Demand for Wireless Connectivity” at the recent 35th annual conference of the Association of Communications Technology Professionals in Higher Education, held in San Diego, Calif.

He and Chris Gilby of Meru Networks, the Colleges' wireless vendor, focused on how HWS overcame many obstacles inherent in Wi-Fi systems through strategic planning and through the Meru Air Traffic Control System.

ACUTA is an international non-profit educational association serving colleges and universities. It represents nearly 2,000 individuals at 825 institutions of higher education in all 50 states, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
