Kirra Henick-Kling '08 has been named Leader of the Month by the HWS Office of Student Life and Leadership.
She has demonstrated her leadership abilities in a variety of ways on campus as well as in the Geneva community. A double major in psychology and education, she aspires to complete the Colleges’ MAT program as well as an advanced degree in psychology.
In addition to the time she spends in the classroom, she volunteers time working with the youth in the community through the education program and community service. She volunteers at the Geneva Public Library and Seneca Lake Whale Watch.
She is an active member of the William Smith Congress, a tour guide for the Admissions Office and is house manager of the William Smith Honors House, where she has been effective in responding to the needs of the residents in the house.
Any student is eligible to be nominated for SL&L's Leader of the Month Award. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to nominate students for the honor with the online form on the Residential Education or Student Life Web sites or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The winner of this award is given a gift certificate for a free lunch or dinner at the Cobblestone Restaurant for themselves and any faculty, administration or staff member of their choice. Nominations are due by Oct. 27.
