The Office of Residential Education recently honored Minnie Muzquiz '07 as RA of the Month for October
She is “dedicated to creating a positive environment for Brent, Stucco and Cloverleaf small houses, and shines through as a leader among her peers in this role.”
Muzquiz was cited as “always willing to go above and beyond her job responsibilities in regard to accomplishing tasks with fellow staff members and building community with her residents. In addition, she has demonstrated numerous creative ideas for programming and publicity for the small house resident assistant staff.”
She has proven her dedication to her residents by embracing the themes in her small houses including the Multicultural Sisterhood House and the Latin Cultural Initiative. She has consistently assisted these residents with their theme-related programming efforts.
Her hard work and enthusiasm for her position are evident in her interactions with fellow staff members. She is the first person to initiate collaboration with others and has shown her willingness to take a new staff member under her wing and help them learn the ropes and be successful. Her quiet leadership is a powerful tool that truly motivates the people around her.
