Alumna Weeks named senior private banker

Penny Barker Weeks '81 was recently named Senior Private Banker for Northern Trust's Boston financial center, an addition to its 10-member wealth management team. She will be responsible for creating customized financial and liquidity solutions for high net worth clients in the Boston area.

While an undergraduate, Weeks majored in English, completed a minor in Modern European Culture, was a member of the William Smith Judicial Board and Hai Timiai. She was a resident advisor and then head resident advisor, and received a William Smith Congress Award at graduation.

She later earned a Certificate of Special Studies in Management and Administration from Harvard University and a diploma in financial planning from Boston University. A resident of Arlington, Mass., she is president of the board of trustees of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Conn.; a trustee of Family Services of Greater Boston and a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council.

Before joining the staff at Northern Trust, Weeks was at U.S. Trust, and previous to that, with Smith Barney as a private client lending specialist. She has more than 25 years of private banking experience.
