Sara Baer-Sinnott '76 is the co-author of “The Oldways Table: Essays & Recipes from the Culinary Think Tank,” a new cookbook that joins “high-level nutrition-science evidence with chef-quality recipes and meals.”
It includes “dozens of wonderful, thought-provoking essays and beautiful, simple recipes from some of the greatest minds in the food world today–all woven together by the Oldways philosophy and vision, which is rooted in common sense and a passion for all things edible.”
Baer-Sinnott and her co-author, Oldways founder and president K. Dun Gifford, explain the Oldways' philosophy of harmonious, traditional food patterns, sustainable agriculture and healthy eating and drinking.
The book is also filled with outstanding contributions from noteworthy chefs, food writers, nutritionists, sustainability experts and industry specialists.
Baer-Sinnott joined Oldways, where she is now executive vice president, in 1992 after working on special editorial projects at Inc. magazine. Oldways is a nonprofit culinary think tank that develops and implements educational programs and events to help consumers make wise choices about eating, drinking, lifestyle, and the traditional pleasures of the table.
