Matthew T. Simpson '04, who is in law school at American University in Washington, D.C., recently learned that his law review article has been selected for publication in the American University International Law Review issue to be released in March.
The journal is the seventh-ranked international law review in the United States. His piece is on the Softwood Lumber Dispute and NAFTA. Articles by Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer and the President of the International Criminal Court are expected to be printed in the same issue.
Simpson will be joining Weil Gotshal & Manges as a summer associate when classes end.
A cum laude graduate who majored in economics and critical social studies and minored in mathematics at HWS, he was a member of the sailing team, president of his senior class, and a member of Chimera and Orange Key.
