Alumnus Katz joins Michigan firm

Donald L. Katz '88 recently joined the law firm of Weisman Young, Schloss and Ruemenapp, based in Bingham Farms, Mich., where he was named senior counsel in the Corporate Practice group.

One of the nation's most highly regarded business aviation attorneys, Katz has acted as special counsel in a variety of transactions for Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurs, guiding them through the regulatory and taxation complexities involved in business aviation transactions and operations.

At Weisman, Young, he focuses his practice on a range of specialties, including business planning, taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions in the aviation and automotive marketplace.

Katz received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, and a bachelor's in English-Comparative Literature from Hobart College. He has been ranked nationally the past two years for his aviation expertise by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, a referral guide designed to present objectively the best practitioners in corporate law throughout the world.
