N.J. state senator charged in Stern-led probe

A New Jersey state senator was indicted on Thursday, March 29, on charges of fraud and corruption in connection with the scandal at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Retired federal judge Herbert J. Stern '58, P'03, LLD '74, a trustee of HWS, was named the federal monitor in the case. Stern Hall on the HWS campus is named for him.
