Lynn F. Hoffman '65 is the author of a new book, “bang BANG,” which is now available at The College Store.
His novel, which has received a “Starred Review” from Booklist, tells the story of a woman whose close friend is shot in the street and how her words in reaction are twisted by “a shady senator and the gun industry to promote the pro-firearm agenda.
“Suddenly finding herself the unwitting — and very public — proponent of a political stance the protagonist abhors, she embarks on a decidedly offbeat, one-woman vigilante crusade to bring the gun trade to its knees.”
Hoffman, of Philadelphia, was an anthropology major and worked at WEOS while at HWS. He received a Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1974.
