Tenzin’s work profiled

The Venerable Tenzin Yignyen, an instructor of Asian languages and cultures, was featured in an article, titled “Buddhist art teaches compassion, that appeared in The Journal News on May 26, 2007.

Tenzin spent last week at The Masters School, a boarding school in Dobbs Ferry, teaching students about Buddhist tradition and creating a sand mandala. He constructed the mandala of compassion and then dismantled it in the Hudson River.

A member of the HWS faculty since 1998, Tenzin is an instructor in mediation, Tibetan Buddhism and art, as well as Asian studies.
