Barbuto Performance at NYC’s Birdland featured

Just before a concert at the Jazz Corner of the World, an alum who is now a faculty member was featured in Sunday's Finger Lakes Times.

Bob Barbuto ’94, a member of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges instructional music faculty, and The Bob Barbuto Trio played a concert of original compositions Sunday, June 17 at Birdland in New York City.

Known as “The Jazz Corner of the World,” the club is at 315 W. 44th St. in Manhattan. This engagement was made possible by Finger Lakes Arts Grants and Services and the New York State Attorney General at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.

Barbuto, who earned his bachelor's degree from Hobart College in 1994, cum laude, has played with such notables as The Temptations, Tony Bennett, Nick Brignola and Jaco Pastorius.
