Several long-time employees honored at festive picnic

Three dozen members of the Colleges staff received awards honoring their years of service at the annual picnic on Friday, June 15. Each received a certificate signed by President Mark D. Gearan, recognizing their service to the Colleges. The employees honored at the picnic, many of whom posed for photos, represent 580 years of cumulative service to the Colleges.

Those recognized were Barbara Campbell, Lillian E. Collins and Bette A. Martin, 40 years each; Patricia P. Genovese, 35 years; Patricia B. Cool and Josephine L. Pollino, 30 years each; Chip Capraro, Michael J. Hanna, Barry R. Jones and Barbara A. Mastellar, 25 years each;

Michael Cragg, Judy A. Mahoney-Benzer and Pauline Palaka Foster, 20 years each; Maurice Harling, Gail M. Hoesterey and Lucy Principio, 15 years each; Kathleen M. Carl, Ronnie S. DeVall, Peggy Kowalik, Nancy Levis, Judith M. Miller, Candace J. Siviglia and Mark Wenderlich, 10 years each;


Donna Albro, Martha P. Bond, James A. Burruto, Benjamin G. Foster, Susan K. Gage, Debra A. Jerome, Matthew P. Kerwick, Pamela J. Llewellyn, Michael A. Paparo, Douglas G. Reilly, Jared C. Weeden, Jonathan H. Wolff and Scott W. Yoder, five years each.

In addition, the group assembled on the Quad sang “Happy Birthday” to John Collins of the staff, who turned 80 that day. He is the father of four HWS graduates, including Board Vice chair Maureen Collins Zupan '72, P'09; and the grandfather of a member of the Hobart Class of 2009.
