Lacrosse alumni caught in Colorado Tsunami

The Hobart Elder Statesmen, a team of alumni lacrosse players aged 40 and older, lost by two points in the championship game of the 35th Vail Lacrosse Shootout in Vail, Colo., on Saturday, June 30. The Connecticut Valley Lacrosse Club (CVLC/Tsunami) emerged victors in the Supermasters' division.

With a final score of 10-12, the favored Elder Statesmen took the lead early and held on going into the second quarter, and were still a respectable 4-4 at halftime.

Current Hobart head Coach Matt Kerwick ’90 received All-Tournament Honors at midfield.

The team was made up of mostly Hobart lacrosse alumni from around the country, organized again this year by Sean Fox '84 and Kevin Martin '81. This marks the third appearance of the Hobart alumni team and also the team’s third appearance in the championship game. Last year, the Elders won the Supermasters division.
