Speaker Kristol defends Bush record in column

William Kristol, founding editor of the Weekly Standard, who visited HWS last semester, described President Bush's presidency in a column written for The Washington Post and reprinted in the Wednesday, July 18 edition of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Kristol is a former Chief of Staff for Secretary of Education William Bennett and for Former Vice President Dan Quayle.

Kristol, who spoke on campus Wednesday, May 2, in a visit sponsored by the HWS College Republicans, the Young America's Foundation and the Political Science Department, wrote about the economy, terrorism and the War in Iraq in Bush's record surprisingly strong.
