Alumnus Cooney heads law school class

Jeremy A. Cooney ’04 was recently elected president of his law class at Albany Law School.

“Law school is everything that I hoped for (and feared),” he writes. “Classes are intense, professors are ruthless, my classmates are competitive. Nevertheless, it’s the challenge I sought and I am giving it my very best.”

As president, he serves as an active member of the Student Bar Association and on the young lawyers division of the New York State Bar Association.

Cooney is a third-generation Hobart legacy. As a student, he graduated with honors in Public Policy and participated in the Druid Society, music program, Chi Phi Fraternity and was elected president of Hobart Student Government. Shortly after graduating, he was named Manager of Campaign Leadership of Campaign for the Colleges.
