Gearan explains Clinton win in New Hampshire

President Mark D. Gearan talked about Sen. Hillary Clinton's victory in the New Hampshire Democratic primary in a story on the front page of the Wednesday, Jan. 9 edition of the Finger Lakes Times.

He said the New York Senator's victory was a tribute to her performance in the debates on Saturday, and her ability to connect with women, who made up a large percent of the New Hampshire primary voters.

Gearan was Peace Corps director and served in the White House as Assistant to the President and Director of Communications, as well as Deputy Chief of Staff, during Bill Clinton's administration. Gearan was in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday with students and political science department faculty participating in the Career Service Office's “Day on the Hill” program, which includes meetings with alumni and alumnae who work for the federal government, visits to several legislative offices, lobbying firms, political parties and others.
