Rabbi Jacobs ’91 offers prayer at the Capitol

Cheryl Asarkof Jacobs '91, a rabbi who is director of the Jewish Healing Center in Plantation, Fla., offered a prayer to open a joint session of Congress on Friday, Feb. 8.

A religious studies major and sociology minor while at HWS, she was a member of the Herons swimming team. She earned her master of arts and religion from Yale University in 1993.

The Jewish Healing Center offers rabbinical care, counseling, chaplaincy and spiritual direction including pastoral visits to homes, hospitals, assisted living centers, prisons, and nursing homes. It is part of Jewish Family Service of Broward County.
