GENEVA, N.Y.-The Hobart and William Smith Colleges Tibetan Mandala Painting class, led by the Venerable Tenzin Yignen, will display students' individually painted mandalas and their collective Sand Mandala work from Friday, December 7, through Thursday, December 13, in the atrium of the Warren Hunting Smith Library on the Colleges campus. The class will also perform a dismantling ceremony for the Sand Mandala at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, in the library atrium. The events are free and the public is invited to attend.
Yignyen, a Tibetan monk from the Dalai Lama's personal monastery, earned Master of Sutra and Tantra. He has taught Tibetan art, Buddhism, and Asian studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges since September 1998.
